Egyptian wrestler Karam Gaber will hold Egypt's flag in the opening ceremony of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Gaber will lead the way for more than 100 Egyptian athletes at the Beijing National Stadium on Friday August 8th.

"Gaber was honored with the task after his achievement in Athens 2004, which is Egypt's best result in more than 50 years," head of Egyptian delegation Mohamed Shaheen said.

Yesterday  the champion KARAM GABER moved to USA with his coach  Mahmoud Elweshahy  to  an external training camp prepared on a request from the champion and the request accepted by the wrestling federation and he decided to play

" Dave Schultz  " Tournament from 8 to 10 February.

which recommended as his first preparation to the World championship 2007.

20 hours in Cairo

 The Olympic champion KARAM GABER returns to Cairo after a successful camp in Alushta in Ukraine .he will travel evening to China before two weeks to the world championship to adjust the atmosphere

Dr Ashraf Hafez (Trainer of the champion)  says that Alushta camp was great .KARAM has a very good spirit .He hope All the camps to be like Poland and Ukraine camp .

- After the celebration the champion directly goes to the Cairo airport taking the plane to Ukraine with the wrestlers national team of Egypt to join the training camp in order to prepare him self to the world cup tournament.

Yesterday the Olympic champion win the silver medal after he played six games and win it all in the two rounds without losing any round, and after the organizer committee descended to postponed the final match and didn't continue the match which ended to the advantage of the match which ended to the advantage of Kazakhstan player.

KARAM  moved to the Poland military hospital which give him a great hospitality

1st game with Ukrainian player 2 - 0

2nd game with Slovenian player 2 - 0

3rd game with Lithuanian player 2 -0

4th game with the Egyptian champion

          due to KARAM injury

* 31 points gained by the champion throw the tournament while the Kazakhstan player get 25 points, 5 points of then result of  KARAM withdrawal due to his injury and that shows the different in our champion level

* Egypt comes in the 12th standing in the tournament as it get only one silver medal that gained by KARAM and get by that 15 points in the general rank.

 Karam Gaber, the Olympic Champion sent a message of gratitude and appreciation to The Polish Military Hospital in Warsaw. The Champion sent his gratfulness for the suburb efforts and care he recieved after he is injured. He was directly sent to the hospital where the doctors checked his injury and did all the appropriate tests to him.

Yesterday morning the champion KARAM GABER moved to Poland with Dr. Ashraf Hafez the wrestler teacher of the Physical education university in a special training camp prepared on a request from the champion and the request

accepted by the wrestler federation and he decided to play

" Pytlasinski " tournament from 24 to 26 / August which recommended as his first preparation to the World championship.

Dr El Sentressy stated that he will stand by the champion with full strength during the next period, and that he is convinced that it is not likely to neglect the Champion's point of views in the preparation stages.

The Champion KARAM GABER traveled today to Poland to show his injury to the specialists in Poland taking the opportunity of presence of the Egyptian National team there and he will resume his tanning after recovery.

The Egyptian champion KARAM Gaber returns yesterday from Bulgarian camp because  he didn't find any other teams or any wrestlers from Bulgarian national team, only found youth wrestlers from Bulgarian clubs.

KARAM send a fax to the Egyptian wrestling federation explaining the bad situations in the camp.

KARAM will prepare a press conference soon.....

For the preparations of Grand Prix tournament in Azerbaijan  from 23-25 June 2006.

KARAM will travel tomorrow to a training camp in Bulgaria, then move directly to Azerbaijan .

it is well know that Grand Prix tournament is one of the best tournaments.

The president of international union Mr. Martien and the president of South Africa union support a cup of the best player in African championship of wrestling to the Egyptian sports ambassador the Olympic championship KARAM Gaber which support his standing role to the south Africa beginner player 66kg weight, when he saw him, he indicate his admiration and support him to be continued.

The Egyptian champion KARAM Gaber visited an wrestler educational school in Pretoria the capital of south Africa to attend the evening training, he supported, educated and playing with them, then he celebrate with all players & managerial at the school.

The Champion KARAM Gaber will arrived to Cairo tomorrow at 6.45, on Egypt airlines coming from south Africa.
